MEC- One of Saskatchewan's Top Employers!

MEC has been awarded status as one of Saskatchewan's Top 20 Employers. This is very exciting news for the company, because traditionally, Top 20 status has been awarded mainly to very large employers such as crown corporations, universities, and banks. MEC is smaller, but has fared well through the last year's economic downturn, growing its staff rather than laying off, and continually striving to make MEC a great place to work.

Chantelle Ehr and Jillian Dearlove of HR, and Stephanie Meyer, Marketing, collaborated on the application- originally for the Top 100places to work in Canada, which encompasses regional and provincial competitions as well. The application provided ideas on how to make working for MEC more rewarding. "The great thing about filling out this application, going in, was that if we didn't win this year, we learned so many ways to improve our work environment, and there is nothing like a bit of healthy competition to promote change," Said Ehr.

As one of Sask's top employers, MEC will be able to utilize the competition logo on our website as well as on recruitment materials, and will also be able to advertize for jobs for free on the eluta.com website for the next year.
